We also ended Spring Break in Frankfurt so that Matt could get back to the airport. This time we left Prague in the morning and checked into our hostel, Frankfurt Hostel, in the afternoon. This was the kind of hostel experience that I was expecting.
It was loud and people were hanging out in the common area, drinking beer, playing games and music, and watching sports. The room was set up like a dorm and I had flashbacks to Warren Towers. We walked to the two main squares in Frankfurt; one was Romerberg with Fachwerkhauser (half-timbered houses) and the other was the main commercial square. We souvenir shopped, ate dinner, and saw a few cool buildings, like the old Opera house. We headed back early since we both had to catch really early trains; me to Strasbourg, Matt to the airport.
